Anyone know what’s the latest on the plaid visa acquisition? Is it being denied? What happens if it is denied?
Seems like the lawsuit against the acquisition is still in progress. If it doesn't close Plaid will have to either find another buyer or keep going as a public company. Heck they can go public themselves these days if they want.
Well they were never public right? So technically would they just go back to being private and live life as if visa deal never happened? Wonder how that affects their valuation and stuff
The whole situation stinks
How’s the morale there? I’m sure it’s a crappy situation but has the place turned like toxic or anything? Is it a good or bad time to join?
Morale hasn’t been great to be honest. I don’t want to crap on my current employer (I mean what else is Blind for??) but overall excitement about the company has really taken a dive for many reasons one of the biggest is the ongoing Visa saga
And Gru2 is right
Yea honestly if they aren't acquired it might be the next thing.
The acquisition has been cancelled
Wow just saw the news, I thought few mergers fall through. But I'm happy that now Plaid won't be associated with Visa's brand.
Why is Visa’s brand bad? Not enough innovation?
Well they are a well known brand, I just personally don't like them mostly because their engineering talent and quality is low.
Yes
What are the reactions like from the inside?
Too early to tell. I think there was a general consensus that this was going to happen. There are a lot of us that want liquidity
Yeah look it’s a fair point and the right way to look at it. Def being underpaid relative to market though so there is an opportunity cost if it lasts too long
True, I'm hoping you get both liquidity not too long later. I definitely believe it'll happen
What about now? It's almost been a year.. With liquidity not in sight, how is the morale?
