A list of ethnic slurs on Indians that should be banned on Blind
Got an offer from Plaid last week. Role: Tech / Engineer Yoe: 6 Level: E5 (maps to L6 Amazon) Location: Remote TC: $365k (recruiter mentioned we can work on breakdown later) How does this look? Any room for negotiation? Current TC: $200k Edit: I’ve read couple of posts on Blind where candidates tried to negotiate and Plaid rescinded the offer.
How is the interview process
Signed an NDA. But no real LC question. Practical questions like building an API and real world system design on AWS.
Additionally some cultural interviews. Nothing crazy like Amazon LPs
Always negotiate. The top is determined by how badly they want you and your other offers. In the absence of other offers you're screwing yourself out of 15-30% typically but I can't speak to your case
I’ve read couple of posts on Blind where candidates tried to negotiate and Plaid rescinded the offer.
Depends on how you try to negotiate and how well you did in your interview. Usually if you strong arm you have to be that good to back it up, or it will illicit negative response. If you met the bar, solid hire, then you basically have no leverage. If you aced the bar ask for whatever you want.
This has never happened (from someone on recruiting committee). We do mot rescind. Worst that happens if you try to negotiate is you are told no.
Offer is good but definitely negotiate once. Can also apply at other places and leverage this offer.
Their outlook dropped to 7b after the new visa acquisition
What new visa acquisition? Source?
Google it?
So did you negotiate? If so, was your offer rescinded?
What’s the potential upside? IPO plans?
Possibly in the next couple of years. Current valuation is $13.5 billion
