Please guide me on online MS in Computer science programs
I am planning to take online master's degree in computer science while working full time job. But, not sure which is the best school and program for my case. My case is this: 1. Having an MS degree gives me more chances in H1B lottery (have been trying for H1B for many years. Genuine application from employer). Need to be non-profit and accredited school/program for this. 2. My Bachelor's is not CS, it is Electrical and Electronics. I came to know H1B extensions are rejected/RFE'ed due to the education is not matching with the job role (I am SWE). 3. I have family and 1 year kid. So I wont have much time to devote. I am told GAtech OMSCS is good and cheap. But, I see people say it is rigorous and requires lot of time/effort. I am looking for an program spending less time/effort from an university. 4. I always wanted to do MS in CS for my personal satisfaction. Sometimes I regret not having done a CS bachelor's. I want to cover up with a Master's Can you help me here?

Georgia Tech but it’s tough
University of Illinois spring field campus. They have good online programs.
I’m told University of Florida has a great online program, though it was about 5 years ago that I heard that. I had a coworker who was in the online MSCS program. Our manager proctored exams for him and the subject matter was relevant. I didn’t have the GRE score for UF when I went on to do my masters (embarrassing yes), but I found my undergrad, local, less competitive school Florida Atlantic University had a great online program. I started online when lived in South Florida and continued until finishing after moving to WA. There were a reasonable amount of people in the program that were situated all over the country. Most professors had very rigorous lectures, but I always felt they lacked the high quality instructional material (e.g. well done custom lecture slides). You’re expected to perform very well on real interesting and challenging content. I can’t say how it would measure up to the standards of top universities though. But it did get me to MSFT and working on a topic that I grew to love in grad school, so I’ll take it. Total tuition was $14K, though that was the residential cost. Paid out of pocket with employer reimbursement for 2 courses.
