Yes! Maybe not bad for non-tech positions! For Tech, it’s terrible! pros: 1-Their salary/time at work seems very good! Specially if you end up in a lazy team! 2-business is stable! no way they become bankrupt in the next 20(?!) years!
PM-T is a good role at Amazon. you get to boss people around. ppl do get promoted from 6 to 7.
You can get laid off in Walmart if your team/business is not doing too well. You will lose your soul in amazon. Walmart money is higher, so pick the lesser of the two devils.

Decided to decline both offers as the TC is not that much more than what i already make…besides i like my work and team at LP now so only want to move for something substantiallly better. Planning to wait till my next stock vesting cycle in april and then attempt Amazon (L7), Microsoft, Meta, Shopify, Coinbase etc…
100% made the right decision here. Leaving for that much TC increase is not worth

Possible but hard, as bonus and stock is fixed at X6. To push for 400K, you would need to get 240k base, which is close to high band
Walmart revised offer 400k per yr. I will get initial new hire grant 100k rsu + new 100k rsu added in 2022. May take it as i think promo from principal to director might be easier than FAANG.
Walmart. Never take a down level. Amazon down levels to get more work out of you. Walmart has correctly valued you, while Amazon has chosen to de-value you.

Amazon - 160base + 165joining-bonus and some weird stock vesting from year 2 which i dont understand. But recruiter said it amounts to 325k a year with the stock schedule Walmart -225base + 25%yearly cash bonus + 100joining-bonus + 100stockgrant with 25% vest per year. Walmart promises new 100k stock refresher every yr but vest at 25%.
Walmart if you are optimizing for comp and title. Amazon if the project is really interesting and you don’t mind stagnating comp.
