Amsterdam and Canada offer you a lot less ability to move to another company
L1 visa is equally restrictive which msft will sponsor What are the options in that case?
The fact of being in the US gives you a better shot at hearing back when applying to US jobs. If you're interested in staying in Seattle or moving to the Bay or whatever you can work towards a green card
9 years in India !! Why move out now ? I would be happy with that TC in India. Honestly feel that’s so comfortable for living in India
If you're young and single...pick amsterdam.
Married. No kids.
If you are on visa, Uber is super risky, Microsoft will be safer.
Yes Uber is going to be visa sponsorer. How easy or difficult it is to move to Uber USA on L1 ?
Does uber give signing bonus? Also how are the refreshers?
Microsoft will sponsor H1B once you come here on L1, then H1B is not restrictive and you can jump to companies in Valley
How easy is the H1B visa? Any problems with lottery system?
How much are you able to save in India in USD?
15k USD a year
With that much salary in India,I would not move out. You come abroad then your expenses goes proportionally up.so at the end purpose of saving a lot of money won't be fulfilled. For your salary,I would move out of country if I would be tired of india, looking for new challenges, want to settle in first class country.
Msft REDMOND would be 197k for you as stock will be 17k. Stay with msft.
7k stocks are really low for L63 at IDC
Hr here suck they think they are paying out of their pocket
That's a really great offer from Uber, but you should consider whether you think that company has a future. I don't think so, personally.
Even i have some doubts.. but can't really predict. Also earnings call was bit comforting
A big chunk of the comp for their offer is stock so you should think about how confident you are before making your decision. I don't think you can go wrong though, Amsterdam is probably a really cool place to live.
