Hi, I received a verbal offer from Walmart Recruiter. I wanted to get some review on this offer. Position- Senior Software Engineer Location- Bay Area Current - Base 163 Stocks 60k over 3 years ( no chance of growth as company is acquired and going private, all stocks when vested will be valued at 104 per stock ) Total - 183k Walmart - Base 170 Stocks 45k annually over 3 years ( will be assigned only after completing the first year, vested quarterly) New Hire stocks - 45k ( given right away on joining and vests quarterly) Bonus - 20% Joining bonus - ?? ( they give but didn’t give a number in initial verbal offer) TC ~ 185k I am interviewing actively right now but chances of getting more offers are probably less. Your stocks aren’t 135 over three years. It’s an annual 45k grant that vests over three years. So you won’t get 45k the first couple years

Ohh damn, I asked the recruiter again coz I was confused but they confirmed. May be I got it all wrong. That is 100% correct that they said it’s 45k annually vested over 3 years quarterly, which I will get after completing first year So I asked is it like 45k per year and they said yes. This changes it a lot. So all in all I am getting only 90k worth of stocks basically vesting over 4 years?? ( on joining- 45k vesting quarterly over 3 years, Then 45 more on completing 1 year vesting over 3 years) Thanks for pointing it out

No harm in trying, At least they should give cash joining bonus then The bonus I might not be able to take benefit of till 2024 correct? I will join late in this year and then I will have to go through one full year to take advantage of that
@walmart folks answering One thing which I found weird was when I asked for GC filing the recruiter said that it can be done after 3 months by your manager’s approval based on your performance Why based on performance, it could very well become a witch company situation where the manager could just say you need to perform more, after hours etc etc to use GC filing as a leverage? Is this true or the recruiter explained it wrong
They do it once you're past 90 days. Don't worry about it.
