A friend of mine gave Veeva systems interview over two weeks. Manager has taken 1round prior to on-site and one during on-site. Few dates after on-site he requested to get on a call over weekend , and told that they want to extend an offer at XXX and my friend negotiated very little for that he said he has to get approval. Few days later he set up a call again to tell that they canโt negotiate so my friend said they are ok with original offer. Then after couple of days he came back saying H1B with relocation as the reason and they canโt get offer approved, so my friend agreed not to relocate and stay where they are. Then next day he sent email sating they are looking for senior / principle roles. Recruiter is out of the loop once first set of interviews are complete and manager takes over as the recruiter to schedule interviews / discuss sections and offer. Is the Veeva systems management so incompetent that they donโt know how to reject a candidate? Or is there some political hierarchy so bad that managers are just puppets. I am not sure how they really manage if they donโt even have a say in hiring decisions , Sad thing is 3 out of 4 interviewers discussed how good they feel about Veeva that they are returning employees and some even said they joined as intern and stayed for years because they like the culture. It feels like they are told to say so!! All this for SDE role while my friend has few offers in hand.
My former colleague got rejected there after veeva saw they had competing offers lmao
Oh cool whatโs your total comp
