(Poll) Did my coworker steal my work?

Just for fun poll. I’m not mad about anything, just curious what Blind peeps mean if they say “stealing work” Situation: I am working on project X. Coworker was not involved. Then I left for a competitor and handed the project X to my coworker. The project is already 95% done at this point. 1 year later I boomerang back to the same team at Microsoft. Turns out my coworker used my project X as his project. All he did was to add some documentation and clean it up a bit. All the code is the basically same. He demo’d the project at a bunch of avenues, included to the leadership team. Never mentioned my name anywhere in the decks or speeches (they’re recorded). He even recycled many slides from my old decks and put them into his decks without changing a thing. Anyways I’m not really mad because I got my promo via boomerang and he got his promo too, so who cares. I’m just wondering, is this Blind’s standard for “stealing work”? TC 230k

Well... you left. He had to understand your code so I’m sure he put in some effort. But not giving credit at all? duck move

Are you serious? You left your job and believed in other people’s good intentions? Not saying what he’s done is good but kind of expected. Plus, he put some effort and time maintaining your code, etc.

Didn't read but let's say Yes to stir the debate

Where is the “yes, but you left so all’s fair” option

So you want credit for work you didn’t complete and left the job? Who would the teammate credit, ‘That guy who doesn’t work here anymore’?

young man. software engineering: 20% development + 80% operation you finished the first 19%, and dropped the rest 81% to you teammates, you have no reason to complain.

You give a TL;DR version too.

Last 5% of the work takes 50% of the time. So its fair since you already left.
