https://www.businessinsider.com/laid-off-tesla-worker-story-after-relocating-2024-4 I have a hard rule: never move for any company, especially Elon companies. Even for better pay. Not worth uprooting your family #tesla TC 350
Just other day in IT
YO what's your KP TC
Yo yo not in KP anymore, Amazon TC 400k
SoCal, 1.5hrs to find work. I'm guessing bro got relocated to Riverside and needs to commute to LA.
He said rural, riverside is anything but that. More like moved Out to hesperia lmao
Holy shit.
Remember that question, " Are you willing to relocate? " I always answer NO to it.
I think it's just bad timing, to be fair Tesla had the writing on the wall, so not sure why anyone would take such a risk.
Why not move back and get some other company to pay for relo? Most big corps offer it fairly leniently. Actually, probably better to pay for a lease in a LCOL place while job hunting anyways.
Sounds Like a bullshit rule All data shows that those who move for jobs far outpace annual TC and NW increases of those who do not move So your hard rule will keep you middleclass
This is sad AF 😭
