I dunno 1k-1500

That's a little short, unless you want to go for used (which isn't a bad idea). A 992S with a couple options will easily set you back 140k. That's going to be over 1500 a month not including insurance, maintenance.

Grab yourself a CPO used one. Save tens of thousands. Great resale value. It won't matter because you'll have a blast. I've owned half a dozen Porsches and can't get enough of them. Only get new if you get a limited production car because they hold their value even better. GT3, for example

Buy the c4s slightly used. If wanting new, buy a less commodity model like gt2rs.

Amazon zboubby Jan 17, 2020

You don’t just “buy” a new gt2rs. That doesn’t happen. You won’t be anywhere near the top of a list you don’t even know exist just by showing up with a check...

Agreed. I’m just sharing my rubric for buying vs leasing a porsche with an illustrative example.

Buy it. No loan.

Porsche leases for new cars are awful— very high money-factors ( > 0.0027) - about twice as high as a BMW for example. If you were set on leasing I’d speak to Premier Financial Services and get a good lightly-used CPO car. Speak to them directly to secure financing and rates, then negotiate at dealership for purchase price. 911 is also a good car to own — very reliable IME, super fun car, inexpensive to maintain (compared to other high end sports cars), and hold their value well.

Did you end up leasing? How much for a 911 4S lease? Having trouble finding some numbers online
