Offer is 135K / 90K equity / 25k signing bonus. This is less TC than my pre-MBA role at another big tech, but is for PM. Any thoughts? Is this reasonable or negotiable?
What location?
Cupertino
Are you in a technical PM role? M7 grad?
Non-technical, it’s within IS&S. Yes, M7!
No wonder. Gotta be a technical PM at AIML to make the real bucks my friend.
Sheesh my post-MBA PM offer at VMware was meaningfully more than that. I’d shop around if you have the luxury of time. Assuming this is an intern conversion offer, you should have some time to look around since most intern conversion offers are valid till December (at least that was my school’s policy)
This is helpful, thank you!
Agree to shop around all you can. But also at the end of they day the majority of my friends changed jobs 1-2 yrs post MBA (anecdotally 50% at 1 year) so imo the direction, role, company is more important than pay in the first role out of MBA. Like id never suggest taking a BD role for more pay if you really want PM. For #s my IBM post MBA PM offer wasn't much lower than this a few years back so this seems like a low offer to me. (Bc IBM=very low)
Is the equity yearly? If so, how is that not worth an MBA?
Unfortunately that’s the total equity over 4 years - they mention refreshers, bump ups, etc but still...
Where did you get your MBA from? And what field did you get it in? That matters a ton too.
There are no meaningful "fields" in top schools.
An M7, and agreed there’s no real distinction between majors - have never been asked about schoolwork in interviews!

Does Meta plans layoff?
Lol not worth the MBA then? How many YOE?
4 YOE before MBA...I know ugh. But have to hope that long term pay ceiling and network are worth it
Yea your YOE is the reason for the offer.
