Need suggestions in taking right decision for my next career move
I am currently working as a Software Engineer III at Cisco. It's been 3 years. Current TC: 185K I have received offers from 2 companies: Pure Storage Role: Member of Technical Staff in DevTest operations team: role involves around developing automation tools, maintaining infrastructure and operations. TC: 220k Aruba Networks (HPE) Role: Senior Cloud Software Engineer TC: around 190k (not yet finalised) Interested to move to cloud industry. But still confused which one should I chose. Also I am on H1B and would need next company to file I140 on my behalf PS: Have a virtual on-site pending next Thursday with AWS. But have to accept an offer from Pure by next Tuesday. Please suggest what to do.#tech #purestorage #hpe

Thanks a lot for your advice but my experience at my current organization is getting toxic day by day..So have to move out asap. Is it possible to accept either of those offers and then keep interviewing with other companies?
@ ABSG2410,OP Both pure storage and aruba are not giving you signifiant benefit over your current cisco comp. g8: 185k 3yoe is a good deal unless you get fb or elite league who will pay 250+. I understand that your team is not good, however there are a lot of good places in cisco eg: appD, meraki, openDns etc. who may give you cloud exp if chosen right team. Try internal transfer. Which team are you in ?

Pure by far. Internal flexibility means you can work on interesting stuff all the time without visa issues. Rarely lays anyone off. Cares about WLB. Basically, not AWS.

Pure is a dying company they have dreams of moving to cloud but they are way behind what everyone else has already done and there roadmap is 100 miles long to the next major release

Go for pure. You want to join a growing and smaller company. They have great comp and day 1 visa abd GC. See the leadership - all Harvard and Stanford who have been in venture funds. No way they are gonna die. Everyone says cloud but how would store data without actual hardware. Also they are focussed on All Flash Storage which is the future. Why would you work for HPE? Based on above comment, if Pure is dying and HPE is already dead
Pure storage .. netapp.. solidfire etc .. are the companies that were relevant prior to AWS .. Azure era .. when all major customers used to DIY solutions.
