I guess Vista Equities (never heard of it) is in the news for potentially buying Coupa? What happens to stocks if this happens? Do you get all future vested stocks immediately or just your current ones become your future buyers? #microsoft #coupa #amazon #salesforce #cisco #google
Cost cutting to the bare bones to try to prop up financials before selling. Sort of ironic, given that Coupa is a procurement software. đ
I have experienced first hand Vista acquisition at one of my previous companies. In our case, the vesting schedule stayed the same and remaining shares were converted to cash. So if you had 30k worth of shares vesting over 2 years, after acquisition you would have $30k that would be dispersed at same schedule. No more stock grants moving forward. Espp was gone, health insurance wasnt free anymore and whole energy/vibe tanked.
Sucks
And everyone needs to take the CCAT

I'm currently interviewing and the recruiter did neither accept nor deny the news.
What role are you interviewing for ? I am also interviewing with them for SWE .
Keep me updated on anything you find out. Iâm supposed to start in January
The people who know canât say and rest of the company doesnât know/has a boiler plate. I trust seekingalpha. Coupa would make sense for Vista, but it will ultimately depend on the price and how desperately the cash infusion is needed. Current leadership generally leaves in such situations.
Buckle up. PagerDuty could be next.
