After a series of interviews for the Lead Product Development Engineer (Lead Software Engineer - Full Stack) position in Dallas, TX, I've been invited to a pre-offer discussion regarding compensation and benefits. This is new to me. Does this mean I've been selected, or are others being considered too? Are they going to hire the person based on the compensation requested ? I have 9+ years of experience as a frontend developer, with 3 years in full-stack roles. Could you advise on an appropriate base salary? Also, does AT&T offer a sign-on bonus and yearly bonuses? My partner and I are expecting a baby in 7-8 weeks; should I mention this during the discussion for vacation planning? I plan to take only 2 weeks off initially, considering I'll be a new employee. I'd appreciate any guidance on what topics to cover during the call. Thanks in advance for your help! #AT&T #Pre-offer #salary Discussion
Usually that’s just a verbal offer and discussion. Prepare to justify the TC you are expecting with data and also if you have any vesting scheduled or bonus/PTO requirements. Totally normal Also TC or GTFO
I wouldn’t bring up the upcoming baby at this stage. Secure the offer first. Yeah it’s illegal to penalize folks based on several factors including pregnancy, they don’t have to make you the offer. It’s ATT we talkin’ about. They shady AF.
What did they say about TC before starting the interviews ?
You have to give to get…what’s the offer?
Wtf pre-offer discussion?? Also TC?
