Prep before joining Facebook
I would be joining FB after 2 months as E6. I have mostly worked as backend distributed systems engineer and familiarity with C++, Java. Can existing folks at Facebook give me some pointers to things that I can ramp up so that my transition could be *less bumpy. Thanks in advance for the help ! A seed list I have compiled - Tech: php, python, go OS: linux YOE: 14 years TC: still worked on, will update once I have it confirmed

Start using all the products fb offers. Ads, pages, marketplace, groups, Instagram, WhatsApp etc. Learn how to create beautiful posts. Because that’s what you’ll be using for all your design discussion. Study statistics, you’ll need a deep understanding to look for impact.
Just chill out. If you didn't use MacBook try to use it? Right the transition isn't going to be easy but you can do that.
I would work on developing a thick skin and ability to handle stress. Also get good at childish Facebook style social media interactions on internal websites.
