I plan for starting interviewing after 6-8 months with FAANG or other big tech companies. My preparations would be at a slow pace for next couple of months with maybe just 1-2 hours daily and then probably from July/August I can spend 3-4 hours leetcoding. Here is the plan: May-July - concentrate on system designs, design patterns, master in Swift and Kotlin by working on some personal projects and putting it out on GitHub. August-November/December - Focus more on data structures and algo and leetcode. I would be applying for senior mobile app developer roles for both iOS and Android. Please Let me know if there are any other areas I need to concentrate on. YOE - 6.5 TC - Between 110K-135K (since I get OT)
No one cares about personal projects. Just focus on leetcode and it’ll take you the entire time studying and working through problems
6-8 months? Fuck my field... Dude, no more than 3months.
For 6-8 months, am not always going to be preparing. Might be 1-2 hours daily or not even that for next couple of months. For preparing in 3 months, I would need to spend atleast 3 hours daily I guess, which might be difficult now. Or better I start in July/August then.
Practice the approach, always start with samples and work through them before even writing code, it's the approach that matters. You need to develop that.
Too long, you will forget 80% you learn 3 months ago
Also leetcode fatigue is real. Can't do Longer than 1-1.5 months myself
You are right
