That's because Amazon has turned into no name goods from Alibaba with random ass "brand" names like Xhdjgkd. It's the same stuff, just shipped quicker, at a significantly higher price.

You're missing the point. Prime day is now because it's historically a weird time to shop and they're trying to artificially add an extra big shopping day at a time that was previously a low. It's up to consumers to decide if they're going to fall for it or not, but it seems to be working for Amazon every year
