https://www.uscis.gov/tools/reports-and-studies/immigration-and-citizenship-data On the above link, if you filter by 1. Adjustment of Status (Form-485) and 2. Year as 2014 You can get a CSV file that shows some numbers. And one of the numbers is "Employment-based1, Pending5" against which the number is a whopping 115,089 However, roughly 10k applications are processed every year for India (2021/2022 adjustment to be done later) across all EB categories (like EB1, EB2 etc). So a rough number for applications processed since 2014 would be (2023 - 2014)*10,000 ~= 90,000 Assuming 115,089 employment based applications were pending by end of 2014 according to report, now only 115,089 - 90,000 = 25,089 should be pending for those who filed before 2014 end. But then during 2021/2022, a lot more GCs were processed due to spillover from Family-based and 115,089 pending weren't all Indians in 2014. So with that logic, the priority date should have moved closer to 2014 end already. Why is it still stuck at 2012 ?🙄😒😮💨😪 #workvisa #h1b #greencard #ead #485
What about people with PD 2020?
Think centuries, not years
is he single?
Ready to mingle 😏
Nobody knows, USCIS is equally clueless when it comes to PD
“Should be”???
According to the rough math
My PD is mid 2015
You forget they also interview applicants so it isn’t as straightforward as say, H1.
But 10k GCs are alloted. So even if a tiny number got rejected in interviews, that should not account for ~2 years worth of lag
It’s not about the outcome but the actual interview itself. Those take time to schedule and execute.
New demand in eb1 got GC even after 2014 PD . So the 90k supply , a large part of it got used for them .
If EB1 is limited to 2800 GCs per year, and if all 10 years EB1 GCs are taken into account, that's 25,200 GCs taken away by them = (2023-2014)*2800 So yeah, that might be the cause. Also, I am not sure if the spouses and children of primary applicants are counted in the pending number shown in the excel. If those aren't shown but do consume a GC from each year's quota, then the huge backlog is understandable
Are you sure the 2800 cap on EB-1 is including or excluding overflow from EB-1 ROW?
Increase the grace period to 180 days and USCIS can shove the GCs up theirs, thats all i care about
You already have 8 months grace period (2 months on h1b then shift to b2 for additonal 6 months)
Is there evidence of people successfully doing this??
What’s happening to the eb1 bar. It seems everyone got it nowadays
