Have you used a coach in your career? Was it helpful? Any recommendations (prefer NYC but can also do remote)

Following! Debating the same thing and have interviewed many coaches and have hired a few before... I would do research on their background and expertise and if they can provide good feedback based on their experience and client focus and it’s similar to what u wanna achieve and can help u gain skills and guidance then yes. If not, I’ve hired a few that just spends 2 hours and edits ur resume and linked in and cover letter for couple hundred dollars it’s just quick and not as detailed. I thought it was kind of a waste of money. But I would mix it with a long term coach, figure out ur target market, and project plan on how to approach it, and also use jobscan for key words on resume for some basic submissions first step... orville Pierson has a book called the unwritten rules of highly effective job search, it’s great for basics. Good luck
Thank you! I'm not thinking of switching jobs soon but can use coaching on handling tricky stakeholders, being a newly promoted manager and resolving/navigating interpersonal issues within my Sprint team.
Ask for advice here, find someone that youre comfortable with discussing you offline? (I've done that for several people).
I have worked with a coach and can offer a referral and some advice. Send me a PM.
If possible can you ping me the rate?
I haven’t but I had mentors who I stay in touch with and continue to guide me.
