Product Manager at Disney
Can anyone from Disney help refer me to any product/program manager roles there? I have grown very impatient with my current team at Microsoft and need to find another job. TC: $220k
Didn’t they just do a huge layoff or announce plans for one based on streaming losses? Why Disney anyway
I feel like streaming video is the new gaming industry. They have boom and bust, hire and layoff rounds, crunch time then layoffs. Very driven by executives who just make seemingly random or emotion driven decisions and then lead to huge company changes.

I doubt they can match Microsoft for pay?
Disney has upped their pay quite a bit. For example, a software engineer 2 in Florida can make between $115k to $125k plus 25% RSU vested at 1/6 every 6 months plus 7% targeted annual bonus. That's around ~154K TC give or take a little. Your call on whether you would consider that a good TC or not 🤷♂️
That's good for Florida. Kind of surprises me because most f500s are still stuck in 150k for senior swe as the top before you have to be a manager. I would have thought Disney was more like Walgreens or Verizon than Microsoft
