Hello! I am looking for feedback on my resume. My latest role was Product Marketing; but with the market, I need to broaden my options. I would really appreciate feedback from individuals at the hiring manager+ level who can provide me with some pointers on how I can improve or if there are some key points that I am missing that you feel are valuable. Kindest! 9+ YOE TC: $0 =C #resumereview #resume #jobs #ProductMarketing
Too many bullets, most of them are text heavy and doesn’t show impact. If no impact then remove that bullet
Bold text is good and eye catching
I am toggling between resume and typing on the phone so apologies for inconsistent feedback here
Lastly, plz ensure that ur resume is matching the job descriptions for the roles you are applying for. Else, recruiters/myself (as HM) are not going to move you to the next stage.
Are HMs okay with 2 pager resume if expirence is less than 10 years?
Yes 2-3 pager is fine. I am typically screening for recency and track record meaning I look to see if candidate’s last 2-3 years of experience matches with the job requirement and if they demonstrate a track record of impact in their roles
Are all your past experiences remote and are you pursuing remote roles? If yes then your TAM for potential employers is small.
Greatly appreciate the feedback! Yes, all roles were remote. I transitioned into corporate during covid so that’s how I’ve worked. Would removing remote help?
Up to you. See I spent just 2-3 mins to critique the resume. If I was an HM for an in-office role then it can send a different impression.
can you make a lot of money as a product marketing manager? genuine question
Define lot. I saw recently on a separate post that a senior director of product marketing earning approx.500k
Hey OP, i'm a PMM too and just wanted to point out some of my learnings during my recent job search. 1. List out all your roles at the beginning with a small caption highlighting your KRAs 2. Jot down a list of 7 to 10 key pointers of all the things you can do, or have done in the past 3. List out key achievements - program success, market recognition, any numbers you want to throw in - to bring more focus 4. List all your prev KPIs/KRAs as your skills This way you can generalize and reach out to the broader set of roles. All the best
DM for SAP and anyone else for a referral!
Areas of expertise is too much. Just write couple of sentences with the number of years of experience
