I work a lot with PayPal and Stripe in my current role. I've had offers from Shopify and have a tonne of friends/ex-colleagues from Shopify. a) PayPal is pretty bureaucratic. A ton of red tape and processes. But decent WLB and lower pay compared to the other two. b) Stripe is hot right. A lot of FAANG folks a jumping there - so great place to learn and build the backbone of the internet commerce. But I heard the culture is very cut throat and WLB is comparable to Coinbase/FB/Amazon. c) Shopify: Great growth opportunity, great product roadmap and people. Very strictly 45-50 hours kinda work week. Compensation can be tricky - you will need to do very well in the interviews + have competing offers for you to get paid at a FAANG level.
