I’m Guessing Most Use Less Than You Do
I’ve never smoked. Just curious after a conversation with a coworker regarding this.

Sleepytime
I use it recreationally to be more focused. I find myself enjoying music, movies a lot with that focus when high, as many will tell. Similarly, I find technical topics too much more enjoyable and insightful with that focus. Helps me think more abstractly. I use it for this reason sometimes.
A buddy of mine retired ex. FB used to do similarly. Smoked 2x a week to help think more abstractly. Hmm

I was a daily smoker from 16-30, now very infrequently, but when I do smoke it is almost entirely with coworkers. I’ve smoked with many directors and even two VPs in my company. Has been good for my career, make great connections over a joint and always leads to a positive change in relationship.
What company is this?
A mid sized Cyber Security vendor. I am also in Sales so we party a bit more than your average tech worker.
I have spent most of my pandemic high. It haven't noticed it affect my performance that much...most of the work on my plate was simple enough anyway. Only tough thing I did in entire pandemic is practice for interviews and get a better paying job. I think it helped me focus more and be more chill in my interviews
