I have been in home search since some time and found two options. 1) A home with 3000 sqft and 55 lot and total sales price would be 670k with prosper ISD. However, my monthly estimated mortgage with taxes might go upto 4800 and my pay check almost goes off and I wouldn’t have anything left with when there is only one pay check in worst case scenario. But, I did really like the home and the community as well. 2) A home with 2800 sqft with Denton ISD and its a 45 lot and I think total sales price would be 520k. I have everything needed in the house and I did like the home as well. Monthly payments would be little lesser and I would be comfortable even with single pay check. My wife is also working and no kids for now. However, I am thinking about worst case scenario when there is only one paycheck. From investment and resale perspective, which option would be better if at all we want to sell home after 5 years and leave. TC: 140k
Try Argyle ISD. New build for 2800 sqft houses are on the low end. A little more expensive than Denton but much better school district.

Propser isd. You are thinking about worst case which most probably will not happen in 2years, even if it does it is not end of world, it will be hard for couple of months and then things will get better.

Prosper ISD has good ratings . Not sure which area you are checking . There were some areas in Celina , aubery which were in Prosper ISD.
