Congrats on your new job! I can't comment about west coast, atleast in the NorthEast, Siemens normally tend to have a good WLB( still depends on ur team). Try to define your growth path and where you wanna be in 2 years. (Good to have that clarity when/if you start) PS: Don't hesitate to post exact details of your offer, your current TC if any! A stranger will always be an ass in words, but kind in actions. Welcome to Blind, mate 🙂

Why leave Joby?

Avoid the Multi-disciplinary oncology group. It’s a s***-show. Proton, or radiation therapy systems are good places to be.

It has had 0 impact on the company. Varian was, is and will remain a shitshow of a company. Senior management wants to milk the org and retire with the organization in a couple of years. There is no scope for growth, lowest compensation and salary offered here. HR is as hopeless as can be and will not accept that they are not on par with market - way, way below anything and everything. No technical leadership or roadmap. No CTO, just old baby boomers with 0 understanding of today’s world pretending to be in charge and running the show when it is all going downhill.
