How is walmart/Sam's club pip culture?
How is wlb at Walmart? Pip culture? Job stability/security? Pip? Is it like amazon? Layoffs? Would you recommend visa folks to join? Talking about software roles... TC:75K #walmart #samsclub

Working for Walmart might be the career equivalent of PIP. Probably stable though.

Serious question tho.. does any other company have a pip culture like Amazon? You won’t get pip at at Walmart. WLB is ok. I feel like job stability is good.

No mandatory pip. But technically if you don't fit in well you can be moved to pip..did see a blind post which seemed to be owing to personality clash with manager. Haven't heard of any occurrence of pip among those i know yet though.90% of the folks are meet or above and receives 100%+ bonus (mostly as company multiplier was 125% ) etc.last year was told there was nobody below meet in my entire unit! So def no forced curve fitting.
There isn't any pip in WM technically unless the person really really want to get fired. Walmart is a gigantic organization with multiple teams and multiple projects, with every team having its own subculture. Your question on general Walmart will not get you any useful answers unless you ask specific team questions.

Sam's club is doing great, in fact they did better than dot com last quarter proportionally. Sam's it little behind with the tech stack although they are catching up fast. I won't worry about any pip in sam's. It is not as bad as AMZ.
Very hard to get a PIP at Walmart. You really need to suck at your job 😁 on the flip side it will be very hard for you to switch to a top tier company too

Sams is a good unit to be in in terms of bonus etc as their multiplier is usually better than ecomm. Was 125% for atleast the past two years(ecomm and all other units too had 125 last yr..but the year before they were 100 < bonus < 125). Tech wise they are still in the process of upgrading.
Do some homework and ask around. There are three groups - labs, .com, and sam’s club. Search previous posts. Good luck
If you don’t stack the shelves fast enough or keep the aisles unclean very often, of course you’ll be a PIP candidate.
