Hi, I am interviewing with PwC - Deal analytics team and I have my case interview next week. Does anyone happen to know the best resources to prepare for the case interview? The case will be based on a hypothetical ‘engagement’. #finance #consulting
There are a lot of casebooks from different b-schools that float around online which have cases you can practice. I would suggest finding someone who can give you the case vs reading it yourself. Also, do practice different types of cases
Thank you so much
Where are you based?
New York
Hows the case interview?
It was heavily based on M&A concepts - PE ratio, etc are required to crack the interview.
If you haven’t practice for case interview before, Cheng’s case interview secrets could help you to get into the consulting mindset and help you understand the structure of a common case interview. If you are short of time to practice, I recommend watching his videos for frameworks and tips. But the best thing you can do is practice some cases.
Thank you so much. This team does analytics for M&A so are there any specific cases that I might need to look at as well?
In my experience, the problem on the cases is not defined by the area/industry in which you will work. But I would see if any PwC employees think otherwise. Anyways, dm me, if you would like for me to share some case books.
