Thinking about joining Amazon in SF this year as L6. I was wondering which SF office is the best. I know there is one by the Transamerica Pyramid and one by Caltrain. Also, do employees ever get to work out of a different office than the one their team is in? TC: 200k in Europe Amazon offer TC: 515k YOE: 9
525 Market if you can go there
Are you directly applying from Europe to US amazon?
Yeah, visas are not an issue
Did you negotiate your offer? L6 can go up to 650 in the Bay Area
I only have competing offers around 400k. How do you negotiate that?
You don’t need competing offers in that range. You just need the threat of them. Tell them that you’re in the final round with a few companies considering you at the staff range who’ve indicated they can pay in the 700k range. This should be enough for amazon to come up in their range

Why move to SF? HQ is Seattle; although SEA is expensive the cost of living is much better vs SF. Plus, SEA has a better tech scene with 2/3 of the cloud heavy weights and their ecosystems based there.
Seattle weather sucks. I got depressed
seattle makes me sad bro
