I have worked on Python at Instagram and I noticed a lot of HFT firms have Python roles but I don’t have any math background What does life look like for Python devs at HFT firms? If a Python dev does not have stats background are there still roles? TC: 255k
There are roles for every ability.
What might some examples of these roles be for a pure Python dev without stats background?
There are loads of tools built in-house that needs 0 maths background. Easy example: inventory tracking of companies / commodities.
Any recs on which firms would have the best culture for Python roles?
@twosigma What are the benefits of doing a Python role at trading firms? Would you recommend big tech for Python roles?

The C++ makes sense along the critical path. In your experience are pure Python devs limited to these 2 functions?
