For those of you who are interested Microsoft Profit: 8.8B, Revenue Growth: 14% Wow, the stock broke the trillion dollar mark before slipping under. It's been the steadiest performer out of MAAGF. This year will be a watershed moment when Azure overtakes other business segments in total revenue. Stable and consistent growth across the board, no negatives to take away. IMO, the best stock to own out of the MAAGF Apple Profit: 11.6B, Revenue Growth: -5% Beat lower expectations, but numbers are a setback from what they were a year ago. No longer reporting unit sales of iPhone, iPad, etc. because they don't think it tells the whole story, oh well. Sales trend in China is stabilizing due to price cuts, and the company is now focused on more services. Also increasing dividend by 5%, nice! Makes the most money out of MAAGF! Amazon Profit: 3.6B Revenue Growth: 17% The days of 20%+ growth are now behind it, but margin expansion will continue for years to come - that's a good thing. With a PE around 100, it's priced to perfection. The big news is 1-day shipping for Prime members next year. Then same day shipping for 2021. Then opening a warehouse in every Starbucks restroom for 1-hour shipping. (Kidding about the last 2). Profit for the rest of year will be squeezed due to 1-day shipping effort. Google Profit: 8.4B (exclude EU fine) Revenue Growth: 17% Growth didn't meet growth expectations, and leadership threw YouTube under the bus for this lol. All other numbers were good or better than expected. Stock-wise, definitely the worst performing out of MAAGF. Don't look for anything to jumpstart the stock except GCP starting to make headway or Waymo expanding to other cities. Facebook Profit: 5.4B Revenue Growth: 26% Beat much, much, much lower expectations set from last year's debacle. But a beat is a beat, so that's good. Less good is growth in North America is flat for the blue app. Otherwise, Instagram and WhatsApp are still doing well. Moreover, Facebook still has the best margins out of MAAGF, and still quite small compared to others (headcount). Did you hear? They will be a privacy focused company going forward ;-) #microsoft #apple #amazon #google #facebook
So what’s the Order for keeping stocks ? Ms>aapl>fb>amzn>goog?
No, sell all RSUs and diversify. Best advice I can give you.
It’s better to be fully in tech because it’s good to have all your eggs in one basket. When they’re all in a single basket, they are more tightly packed and won’t bump into each other and break.
So you dropped Netflix and added Microsoft?
Microsoft was in my previous recap. I dropped Netflix to just focus on big tech.
That's what the French use https://fr.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/GAFAM
@OP which of the stocks has a good margin of safety based on your analysis ? I have none of them and interested to hold one of them
Microsoft. Steady and stable growth. Next would be Apple. Both stock pay a dividend, so every quarter you get cash back.
