Is "From the River to the Sea" So Wrong?
Hi. A friend of mine has received an offer from Apple in the technology development group. But they've offered her a QA/Testing role. The manager says most engineers convert to sde based on performance in 1.5 years approx. Is it a risk worth taking for the better compensation and flexibility in changing teams since it's Apple?
Money is not different. Very similar to SDET at msft. Conversions happen all the time though not straightforward
It definitely pays similarly, but the path to switch to dev isn’t easy and probably won’t happen in 1.5 years
PM'd you
