Has anyone completed the Global Entry Program (GEP) as an Indian citizen holding H1-B? I just applied for it and got an email saying that I need to complete verification. I can either do it in India or at any embassy/consulate/vfs outpost in the US. I'm inclined towards the latter. Would like some guidance on the process if anyone has successfully completed this step in the US. #gep #globalentry TC:150k Yoe: 2
I applied in Feb 2020 and got in May 2022. All the time application was in limbo with India government. Typically it takes around 6-8 month for processing at India side. Hoping this process is not required for renewal. DM me specific questions.
You’ve to visit the e-Seva in India
So if you get gep you don't need to go through long immigration when you land in USA from India ? We can just go though the line for citizens if that's so thata great
I have it from three years, did it in India that time. There was no option of doing it from embassy in the US. It's definitely worth the time and effort once you get approved.
Hi, thinking of applying while I'm in India. Can someone provide the process on how to go about doing this? Not finding any conclusive information to start
OP, any update on this? I submitted my application in April 2023 and the police verification was done in May. My application status on VFS website shows that its at embassy/consulate for review. What happens after this? Do I need to go to passport office in India to verify my case? I havent done that.
What benefit do you get from global entry?
1. No need to see CBP officer and worry about potential entry denial 2. TSA pre-check for domestic travel
