I've been placed on PIP even though I've achieved all my deliverables on time. When I asked for the reason, they told me that I'm not proactive enough. In all my projects I've gotten a mix of 1,2,3 rating but there was this one project where I got a 4. Do employees get out of PIP at Capgemini and does it affect their future in the company? Should I be looking out for new jobs?
it sounds like they’re saying you have to be told what to do all the time instead of being proactive and figuring out what needs to be done.

There is no recovery for PIP... you need to use the time to find another job rather than figuring out what can be fixed
Agreed. Even if you do recover, you will never be back to the top performer level. Its better to find a new challenge than fighting a lost cause.
PIP is just a way to maintain the bell curve from what i hear. Start looking for a better job. YOE?
Look for a better job. You can’t coast here. Someone obviously doesn’t think you’re a fit .
I have seen people come out of PIP quite strong at my company, and eventually realizing they wanted to work in adjacent teams in different roles. Keep exploring that option, but also PIP is a hurdle, not a wall.
Pro active usually means self promotion. You may have an engineering mindset which is more nerdy - do stuff and keep it real without much fuss - In such a case you should look for Product companies If you have a marketing/sales mindset where you are constantly selling yourself, consulting companies will be a good fit. If you got a PIP, I think you should look for other opportunities right away
Proactive is finding problems on the system you're working on by yourself and create a solution, or for example make a reusable piece of DRY code and present it to your team/manager so that they can use it. You should make a proposal of course, but you get the gist. Also, you maybe should find a better place to work, it doesn't sound like your mngr likes you a lot

Was being proactive a job requirement? Did you not get early warning from managers?
I don't know what the definition of proactive here is, but I've always completed my deliverables on time. Have tried negotiating with them to revise the rating but all they say is that I'm not as proactive as other people in the team
That is just an excuse, your manager means you are not his person and he dislikes you personality.
