Are you an iOS dev? Depends on role, tc etc
Needs way more info
Been reading that Doximity has lower than average comp
You’ve been reading people who didn’t know how to value the stock options.
Maybe by SF / MANG standards, but the company is also I think 80% remote at this point? My salary is above average for the area I live. Not sure what the situation would be for people joining after the IPO, but my options (not all vested yet) are currently worth a little under 1M and I haven't been here for that long. I'll be HODLing on to all of those for a few years at least. The company has a truly fantastic leadership team, we do good and meaningful work, and we make a killing doing it (i.e. being very profitable). Stock price has been up and down but that seems to be more a function of random market sentiment than anything else (just look at the earnings reports), which is to be expected with any new stock.
Apple has much more street cred because everyone has heard of it and will stand out on your resume in the future. If Dox is the last company you ever expect to work for and they are giving high comp, then go that route. If you are building a base for your next move, then apple.
Did you get RSUs assigned before the IPO? If so you just hit the jackpot!
