I guess I completely missed the ball about these guys IPOing. I use their products a lot and they’ve beaten earnings estimates. Huge buying volume stepping in at $20. I added them as something to look at this weekend, but does anyone have any thoughts?

Seems like a one trick pony that can be bought out by Microsoft or Amazon

Wouldn't that be a good thing?

Idk. I feel like most companies have landed on terraform, and it’s a sticky product. Switching off would be expensive. Packer is great. Nomad is simple. Consul is used for a lot of other big projects too. They seem to have a lot of great products

I’m literally looking to buy. How would I be a bag holder?

It was a bit tongue in cheek. Lots of people pretend to try to drum up interest in a stock that's been beaten down by pretending to be a total noob to it. I've found the "buy what you use" approach to investing can be pretty good.

It’s a stroke of good fortune that you missed their IPO. You’d have lost a lot of money.

Never buy ipo. A vast majority of them drop. You need to wait for price discovery to happen. But volume is spiking large after it fell below $20

This seems like lot of these high growth tech companies which are now slowing in terms of growth but struggling to get to profitability. Would you 10x+ revenue multiple when they can’t even grow as much as big tech companies and are bleeding $$
