I’m looking for cash back primarily - but if miles/points offer equivalent value then I’m interested as well. I pay full balance at the end of the month. I also intend on buying a lot from Amazon (as an employee I have a little loyalty) as well as flights/hotels every other month or so. I’m considering the amazon prime card vs the JetBlue card vs a Delta SkyMiles card - is there anything I should look out for? I don’t want annual fees.
Citi 2x cash: 2% on everything.
Sapphire reserve if you travel often gives 4.5% effective cash back when you redeem for travel. Otherwise the freedom unlimited is pretty good, 2.25% cash back when you redeem for travel.
Uber Barclays card (4% on restaurants, 3% on Travel, 2% on Internet purchases and 1% everything else) or/along with PayPal Extras MasterCard (2% on everything) are the best options for cash back Imho. Not much signup bonus though. For sign up bonus, Sapphire Preferred/Reserve is the best, but much lesser cash back in the long term.
Uber card: Restaurants 4%, travel 3% Citi double cash: 2% on everything Amazon prime card for Amazon shopping All are free cards.
Most frugal of you!
Citi doublecash or Fidelity investment rewards.. both are unlimited 2% with no annual fee
Get chase trio(first 3) 1. Sapphire reserve 4.5 on travel and restaurants (450-300= 150$ fee yearly) 2. Freedom 5% on quarterly categories. Could be 7.5% taking with above card which is 1.5x multiplier for travel. 3 freedom unlimited 1.5% on everything. Cou!d be 2.25% 4. Amazon Chase 5% on amazon. For this one you can't convert to 7.5% Select 2-3 cards which you want . then open application in 2-3 different browsers, fill then submit immediately after one another in order of your priority. Most likely it will be only one hard pull. If they reject your 2nd or 3rd application then call their reconsideration line and explain why do you want the particular card and how you love it, your high expenses and income. Nothing illegal. It works fine as long as you have less then 4-5 Chase or other cards in past 2 yrs.I If you have above cards then on average you can save 5% on most of the purchases you make.
I use my citi costco card everwhere.
Don’t have Costco - I’ll update the original post
