Banks should not be on this list
Banks that rely heavily on cards and apps/tech are by definition “Fintech”. Standard banks that rely only on physical buildings are less fintech. Like Discover is more of a fintech company than banks like PNC and TD. This is because there is only one physical Discover location. All other customers interact through mobile and web applications and APIs.
I’m not saying it isn’t fintech, they’re just not great to work at, bad tech, less competent employees, crazy yellow tape everywhere, bad pay
Capital One, Discover, Amex, Affirm, JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs, Stripe, CashApp, Plaid. List goes on and on.
