Offers after multiple months of prep
A friend got offered a Sr. Manager PL07 position at RBC Toronto Base: 127K Annual bonus: 15K Signing bonus: 15K TC : 142K+ signing Is this typical? Edit: vertical: Tech YoE: 12
Yeah thats good for that tier of company. Might be able to negotiate more if havent already. This technology & operations or Capital Markets or what ? “Sr Manager L7” is a very general description. What is yoe or experience in gen ?
Yes, Technology. YoE: 12
Yeah. This is a normal, appropriate, respectable, Canadian middle class job
For a bank that’s alright For Canadian standard its 🥜 Outside of regulated monstrousity, even utility companies offer more
What would be "Canadian standard" for 12 YOE?
As a senior Manager If u r in tech You can easily get paid around $200K base + Approx 15-20% bonus +extras
Yeah sounds about right. I’m PL07, numbers are similar
Yes, that is normal in that level
Yeah numbers look good. I am PL 07 as well. Try and see if you can negotiate on Annual Bonus. You can ask for 20K.
Sounds higher end for that role. 12 Yoe and only 140k Tc is not ideal through.
Sorry, what role at RBC tech is that exactly? I’m currently a PL09
Manager - Pl08 Snr Manager - Pl07
Manager/Sr Manager are both PL07.
I don’t understand why rbc fire some people and pay people more there are so many people who do nothing lol sooo much bloat
In any large org, there’s the 20/80 rule. 80% of the work is done by 20% of people. If your team delivers outsized impact to the bank’s bottom line, you’ll be on the higher end of the band. If not, you’ll dwindle while eventually your job gets automated away.
Yes this is typical for the big banks in Canada. Solid offer
I guess no, not specifically in Canada.any other mates with high pay in Toronto or Canada?
Do you mean it is lesser than typical or higher?
I thought it was lower, but i just saw 12 yoe so ya its good. Maybe he can try to negotiate.but if it was in USA I guess it would be more than that.
