Most of the information I find on this company are people who dislike their articles, I can’t seem to find much info about working there. Has anyone here worked there? How do you like it? What’s the culture like?

My wife worked for a few years in DC office after Amazon took over. Nothing like Amazon culture - it’s a good wlb and decent compensation.
That’s really great to hear
[Blind] Check out this post! Please help: company wide layoffs (Tech Industry) https://us.teamblind.com/s/gdgSDSQk
I saw this but I couldn’t find any articles online about it going on or how many people/departments were effected
I haven’t heard anything about layoffs - in fact there has been a hiring boom in engineering
I’m late but I’ll add my two cents. It’s nothing like Amazon. It’s nothing like the bad parts of Amazon and it’s nothing like the good parts of a company as technically proficient as Amazon. It’s a media company which means it’s a feature factory. The more shiny objects on the page the more product managers get bonuses. That’s a big portion of the work most developers here do. Shiny objects on web pages. If you like that kind of thing then it’s great. If you don’t like that kind of thing it can be hard but not impossible to find opportunities to do actually technically innovative things. If you can maneuver into areas of the company you like you will be happy. Layoffs? Not on the wapo side. There is a professional services side called Arc that I think has indeed seen a lot of churn.
I did an interview for an internship position a couple weeks ago. Can I pm you?
Washington post = Fox news
I’d argue they’re vastly different in terms of reach alone, let alone other factors.
