Experience doesnβt matter, delivery and impact do. I was able to get to senior staff at 5/6yoe
I donβt have a PhD. I just have MS. My interviews went really well. Additionally, during the interviews when asked what am I looking for to move, I mentioned about being ICT4 at Apple (which is equivalent to Staff at Qualcomm), and if I move, I would be looking for a role senior than where I am. On top of this, I was approached by a VP at Qualcomm for the interview, hence! I believe all of this cumulated to them offering a Sr Staff position.

I would research a bit more on how much more you can squeezeβ¦ Levels.fyi, Glassdoor, h1b data etc.. goal is to get a decent/moderate increase in base while getting more equity of the long run. Just make sure your numbers have some researched baked into it. Also you are from Apple , that alone can be prestigious .. donβt settle on the first offer IMHO
