Qualcomm lowball offer?
I recently got the below offer from Qualcomm for a Senior Software Engineer position (in a Linux team)- Base - 108k RSU - 60k/3 Annual cash bonus- 10% as per the recruiter Joining bonus - 30k Location- SD I have MS+3YOE This seems like a really lowball base for a Senior Engineer. Is the base normal for my YOE? Current TC- 120k (Oregon) 🥜 #offer #tech

I have the same TC as you! But why Qualcomm? Why not google or facebook?
Ask for 115k base at least. They gave you the lowest limit of senior level
RSU is good. Base can def go up to 115k. My base is slightly higher than what they offered you (as an Engineer lol)
Base appears low for MS + 3Yoe. 115k would be a good entry point. Signing bonus is generous.
Try Analog Devices and you will see what dies the low ball offer means!
Analog Devices refused to interview me when they heard I had an offer from Qualcomm. Their exact words were, "We will not be able to offer you anywhere close to what Qualcomm offers you". The gap? 30% in base alone.
Bonus can be more depending on your performance. Offer is not bad cause you get rsu refresher every year after 15-35K. Try 120K base in negotiation.

Try $120k . Settle at $115k. Btw Qualcomm rarely ever negotiates. If youre happy with the team/job/scope , and are unable to get any more , just accept the offer and start looking for other companies that may offer more. One offer in hand is worth 2 in the bush
The recruiter seemed very hostile when providing the offer. He suggested passive aggressively multiple times that there is no room for negotiation when i told him i need to think about the offer before accepting it.

I had base 115k rsu:60k 3 years sign on 25k YOE:7 Yours seems standard. They don’t negotiate , take it or leave is their policy I don’t think competing offers helps either lol
Base can be 5k higher. Everything else seems standard. Which team is it ?
It's a kernel engineer role within the Android team.
