Are you sure about that qcom rsu? I know sr staff core team in SD who get less rsu. Base is probably top of band staff Bay Area/HCOL which is also quite rare since new hires are placed in the bottom percentile of base for that level

Since when did Q start paying so high ? I know the attrition is high but this seems possibly higher than what Principal Managers get. With the laid back culture that runs across the org, you can take Q's offer and prepare to retire.
Most SOC groups are actually not laid back and are held to very aggressive schedules with multiple tape outs a year
A few other core teams also have aggressive schedules but with the level of redundancy that many teams possess in terms of resources, I see just a few slogging hard and doing work that justifies the aggressive schedule. But others just get away with the laidback attitude. I have seen people take FTO for weeks in crunch times.
