Hello I am asking a question regarding working at Comcast. Right now currently I am a intern at FISERV and have been with this company for almost a whole year. Recently I had a interview with COMCAST for a FPA role( financial analyst 2), but the one question that is holding from being comfortable moving is would working here put me a disadvantage for working for those huge financial/accounting companies? Because after a year I wanted to either work at EY OR DELOITTE as it was always my goal to work there after college, but due to low gpa and specs, current workers told me to transfer as a experienced hire. So if anyone could help answer my question it will mean a lot. Since FISERV and Comcast are two different companies one is a fin tech and one is a internet business. #comcastbusiness #big4 #finance #interview #ey #deloitte #career

Would leaving my job be a bad idea for $100k+ TC?
Comcast is heavily oriented towards financial operations and I think if you get an offer and feel comfortable with the team you should strongly consider it. You’ll likely get a good mix of experience (FP&A, budgeting, cost allocation, forecasting etc) that you can stack for a year or two while you learn what you like and don’t like before your next move. Treat this opportunity as a launch pad to position you as an attractive candidate later to transfer to a Big4 firm as an experienced hire. Ultimately you may realize this sort of work is what you love, or maybe you’ll figure out you’d like to do something else. Comcast is big enough that you’ll be able to transfer internally or just peace out. Source: work at Comcast.
