Hey Qualtrics guys, I have questions to you about culture, growth opportunities, good/bad teams, etc. please let me know if you prefer DM. Thanks!
@sCoz12 - who knows, deal hasn’t closed yet. @allhappy! - it’s an exciting time for sure. I’m in the seattle office. Message me if you have specific team questions, I’m obviously biased by my own role.
Sent you DM.
More guys from Qualtrics? Can you please share?
solving okay problems. Use aws and some open source infrastructure, engineers are basically all juniors and management seems to have no clue how to hire senior engineers. I would say good for junior engineers as it’s a “kool aid” culture
Did you work there? Or interviewed? How do you know that management have no clue how to hire senior engineers?
Junior sde here, it's pretty good. Not enough senior devs but honestly that's not so bad, you can have a lot of influence very early on. Vastly more than at MS / amazon frankly. The senior devs we have are very good though. Overall culture and people is pretty sweet.
Have you worked at either MS or Amzn? What org are you in there?
No but I have a lot of friends at Microsoft, largely in the office org in various capacities. I should not generalize about Ms / amazon, I realize the experience there differs greatly depending on team.
👋 ask away.
When is SAP going to force you to adopt their management style?
Are you from Seattle office? Can you please let me/us know is it still good time to join Q? Any interesting work? What are the good teams/orgs and bad ones to avoid?
