✌🏻expecting an offer from an Asset Management firm over the coming days(the likes of @PIMCO/@State Street/@Wellington/@AB/@Invesco). Quant role around portfolio construction and risk. What kind of range for comp package should I expect? PhD with 5yrs of experience. ps- will share my current TC after getting the offer

Don't expect anything specific, let them come up with a number and start from there. The range for Quant roles is too wide, you'll like not get anything helpful from blind unfortunately https://hbr.org/2015/03/setting-the-record-straight-on-negotiating-your-salary
Thank you for sharing the link. Definitely waiting for their number first, question is what you do when they give you a relatively low number in the verbal offer, how much you push at that stage, or you leave the major negotiation for after getting the formal offer?
Consider two baselines - your internal number that you definitely need / expect to make the move and your external fair market value for that role in the industry. The first one you should know, the second one you'll need to do some research to figure out. I'm not sure if Blind will help, but beyond that look at online resources e.g. https://www.efinancialcareers.com/news/2021/08/pay-quants-globally If they give a number lower than the first one - it's okay to say something immediately, if they give a number between the two, you can ask for some time to think and go back prepared with this research to say I think this is the fair value and I'd join at this number or compensation won't be a concern at this number .
Here’s for my tax! Their offer was 200+200
