Quarterly innovation week at Microsoft
I was told by interviewer that every three months or so they get a week off to “innovate” AKA do some side project or learn some new tech. I’ve tried looking into this but haven’t found anything. Is this a real benefit?

Its not a week off, but you get a chance to work on something related to fix-hack-learn.

So at Microsoft you only try to innovate 1/13 of the time?
Yes we have this in Teams and Office orgs for sure. I think most orgs have it- it’s like a hackathon. There’s also one yearly Microsoft wide hackathon of 1 week duration.
