I have an offer from Google and it involves traveling to headquarters once a quarter (From NYC office). Does anyone know how this would work? Is there a per diem, hotels booked by the company ? Or booked under a budget by myself and reimbursed. Just trying to understand what if anything will be paid by myself and what I can expect during travel (i.e. business class flights v budget red-eyes) TC: 240 (@bloomberg) YOE: 3
Lmao we are way too low on the ladder to be getting business class flights my guy
At BB all flights were business class, that’s why I was asking.
Which job type is this? I want this
If Google said that you have to travel, you will be compensated for everything from airfare to food to transportation. You will not have to put out anything. Based on your level, you will have a cap on your flight and hotel costs. Sometimes you might be business and other times you might not and economy is the only option. Same for hotels, sometimes a 5 star will be within your budget and sometimes not. A good benefit is that if you go under the cap you get half of what you didn’t use as credit for your next trip. No need to worry about anything
Any idea on hotel cap for Mountain View? Or where googlers normally stay in MTV / Palo Alto?
Free trip woo. You get a reasonable but not extravagant price cap on the flights (think economy plus with good timing) and the usual stuff like hotel and food (maybe less since there's free food in the office) is expensable.
