What is the average salary increase each year for those of you that work at hedge funds (Two Sigma, Citadel, Jane Street, DE Shaw) assuming you don’t get promoted? TC: 425K #finance #salary #hedgefund #twosigma #deshaw #citadel #janestreet #bridgewaterassociates
My comp stayed flat for years but when I finally got promoted from prep cook to line cook, I got a bump of $4.50/hr. Dunno what it's like for software engineers though.
Depends highly on your performance + MTM i.e. what is happening on the market. One good thing Citadel does is they rebate you to market, so you don't fall behind much.
base salary increases are like anywhere elss, bonuses in general do increase as well but are dependent on the year
Depends what kind of year we had. I’ve had 5% salary increases and 35% increases. I usually expect around 10% though. And about 20% TC YOY

If you don’t get promoted, salary increases are little or zero. Increases come from your bonus which is extremely variable depending on the firm’s performance. You could get triple on a good year or zero on a very bad year.
you can’t get 0
There aren’t really “promotions” at a lot of firms mine included
