Questions to ask AEs during interview process?
I’ve done a couple of interviews with a SaaS company I’m very interested in, and today they want me to talk to a couple of their AEs. What questions should I ask to better gauge what the position will be like? #ae #enterprise #sales
What are the biggest challenges they face in their role, common objections, what’s the SQL volume like, what is the team culture like (is everyone at each other’s throats or are they supportive & share best practices?), what’s the onboarding process like, what do they think someone new to the role would struggle with initially, how attainable does quota feel.
Depending on how many YOE they have at the company, another good one to ask is why they stay there.
SE to AE structure
Are they assigned a dedicated BDR or is it round robin What’s the volume of mql and sql How’s the sales training team? What does ongoing training look like What are some of the most common objectives What does post sale process and partnership look like Most importantly, how do they feel about SADNESS and scoopin buttah
