Recently joined a series D startup in the data space. Tech stack is absolute trash, constantly breaking with nobody left to fix it who knows what they’re doing. Somehow they’re profitable. CEO is an absolute dick, I literally could get a team together to rebuild his entire product and do it 2x better on a modern stack. Should I quit and do it? Any legal concerns?#startup

So it really is all about marketing. Full credit, they are truly marketing jedis - and lie up their ass about platform capabilities and even sign MSAs without having the necessary dev capacity to back it up. But I guess this is prob the norm.
The hard part is coughing up the money to build a team of engineers to build it and a team of sales people to sell it and keep paying them until you start breaking even
